Barcelona Institute of Gospel The Barcelona Institute of Gospel is a network of musicians founded a decade ago in Barcelona by Spanish youth and a single director. What started as an informal music community for youth from the streets and broken homes has now become an accredited institute giving concerts throughout the city and teaching a variety of musical lessons. The twenty founding members of The Barcelona Institute of Gospel will be voyaging to the United States in the summer of 2009. Aside from making a pilgrimage to the home of Harriet Tubman in Auburn, New York, they will be performing for several communities in America, including Floyd, Virginia.
